Your CITY 1, ST, Boiler Repair Experts.

There is never a good time for your boiler to break down. It always seems to happen at the most inconvenient time, during the coldest day of winter, leaving you shivering in your Oregon home.

When your radiators go cold, and your boiler stops heating, you need a team that understands the intricacies of hydronic heating and can get your boiler up and running promptly.

At Advanced Air, our professionals are factory-trained to handle everything from vintage cast-iron workhorses to the latest high-tech condensing systems.

Common Boiler Problems We Solve

Boilers are incredibly reliable, but, like any home appliance, they can malfunction or fail. Depending on the type of system you have in your LINKED CITY 1, home, you might encounter any number of issues.

Standard Cast-Iron Boilers

These traditional units are known for their durability, but age eventually catches up with them. Common red flags include:

  • Kettling: If your boiler emits bubbling or rumbling sounds, lime or sediment likely has built up on the heat exchanger.
  • Pump Problems: If the boiler is hot but your radiators are cold, the pump that moves the water is likely faulty.
  • Pilot Light: Older gas boilers often suffer from standing pilot lights that won't stay lit.

High-Efficiency Condensing Boilers

The complex sensors and electronics in modern units require specialized repair knowledge for these issues:

  • Blocked Condensate Drains: These boilers produce acidic water as they run. If the drain line clogs or freezes, the system will shut down for safety.
  • Sensor Failures: Flame sensors or outdoor reset sensors can drift out of calibration, leading to inefficient heating.
  • Ignition Problems: High-efficiency units use sophisticated ignition sequences that dirty burners or gas pressure fluctuations can disrupt.

The technician, Brandon, has been to my home a couple of times. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. Communication with him is excellent. While the company gives a standard 2-hour appointment window, Brandon always calls when he is within 30 minutes of arriving, which I love! He is reliable, professional, respectful, and gets the job done right.

Corey is an excellent HVAC technician. Advanced Air installed a new high-capacity Bryant Heat Pump system for me using the new R454B refrigerant with newly designed Bryant heat pump and air handler units. There were several technical issues related to R454B refrigerant and the newly designed system that Corey was able to analyze and successfully resolve. Corey was good to work with and is a very knowledgeable HVAC technician. The new heat pump system performs well for heating and works exceptionally for cooling.
