Extend the Life of Your Pipes Without Digging
If your home or business suffers from recurring clogs, slow drains, or aging cast iron pipes, you don't necessarily need a costly excavation. Advanced Air specializes in Picote rejuvenation, a high-speed mechanical pipe cleaning process that restores pipes to "like-new" condition from the inside out.
Serving LINKED CITY 1, and all of COUNTY, we provide a minimally invasive alternative to traditional pipe replacement that cleans, restores, and extends the life of your pipes without the cost and mess of traditional replacement.
What Is Picote Rejuvenation?
Picote rejuvenation (also known as high-speed descaling) is a specialized restoration method that uses rotating, professional-grade milling tools to strip away decades of buildup. Unlike chemical treatments or full pipe replacement, Picote restores your plumbing system from the inside out, improving flow, efficiency, and longevity.
While standard "snaking" only pokes a hole through a clog, Picote technology polishes the entire inner diameter of the pipe. It is the gold standard for:
- Removing Tuberculation: Clearing the "rust mounds" common in older cast iron pipes.
- Root Intrusion: Grinding away invasive tree roots that cause sewer backups.
- Scale and Calcium: Dissolving hard mineral deposits in galvanized or copper lines.
- Failed Liners: Removing old, collapsed, or improperly installed pipe liners.
- Pipe Lining Prep: Ensures proper adhesion and a successful cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining installation.
One of the unique advantages of Picote tools is their versatility: they can safely and effectively handle a wide variety of pipe materials, including cast iron, clay, concrete, and even PVC, using techniques tailored to each material's needs.
This technology is especially effective for homes and businesses with older plumbing systems or those experiencing recurring clogs, slow drains, or water quality issues caused by pipe buildup.
Why Picote Is Superior to Hydro Jetting
Many CITY 1, ST, homeowners ask: "Why not just jet the lines?" While hydro-jetting is excellent for grease and soft blockages, it often struggles with hard tuberculation or thick tree roots.
What Is Picote Rejuvenation Best For?
Picote is an ideal pipe cleaning solution for cast iron and clay pipes that are troubled by hard scaling, roots, and rust. If you are planning to complete a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining installation, Picote is the ideal pipe-cleaning method because it polishes the pipe walls, creating a smooth surface for optimal adhesion.
What Is Hydro Jetting Best For?
Hydro jetting is an advanced pipe-cleaning and clog-clearing method that uses pressurized water to forcefully remove grease, sand, and other soft clogs in your plumbing system—essentially clearing out lines—but it could leave some stuck-on scale behind. Because of how it is implemented, hydro jetting is best suited for PVC pipes and new plumbing lines, and is great for general plumbing maintenance.
How Does Picote Rejuvenation Work?
Once cleaned, your pipes are left smooth and clear, significantly reducing the risk of future clogs, leaks, or corrosion.
Here is our general process for Picote rejuvenation services:
Our Picote rejuvenation process is straightforward, yet highly effective.
- Inspection and Assessment: Using a high-definition camera, our skilled technicians inspect your pipes to identify blockages, corrosion, or areas in need of restoration. This step ensures the right treatment for your plumbing system.
- Mechanical Cleaning: A high-speed, rotating tool is inserted into your pipes through an existing cleanout—no holes in your walls! The tool scrapes and polishes the interior surfaces, removing decades of scale, rust, and other buildup that can restrict water flow.
- Debris Flushing: We simultaneously flush the system to ensure all loosened scale and debris are removed from your property's plumbing.
- Verification: After the rejuvenation process, we conduct a final inspection to confirm that your pipes are fully restored and functioning at peak performance.
Ideal Candidates for Picote Rejuvenation
Picote services are ideal for plumbing systems of many types, especially those prone to buildup or corrosion:
- Cast Iron Pipes: Descaling cast iron pipes is the primary reason clients seek Picote services. Rust and mineral deposits can restrict flow and cause corrosion over time; Picote restores these pipes to optimal function.
- Clay and Concrete Pipes: Older clay or concrete pipes can accumulate sediment and rough surfaces, leading to blockages. Picote rejuvenation smooths and clears these pipes, improving efficiency and reducing maintenance needs.
- PVC and Other Modern Materials: While metal pipes are often the focus, Picote tools can also gently clean PVC and other newer materials without compromising their integrity.
Benefits of Picote Rejuvenation Services
Investing in Picote rejuvenation provides numerous advantages for homeowners and businesses alike across COUNTY:
- Extended Pipe Life: By removing buildup and restoring pipe integrity, you can often delay or avoid costly pipe replacement.
- Improved Water Flow: Clogged or corroded pipes restrict water flow; Picote rejuvenation restores optimal efficiency.
- Environmentally Friendly: This process avoids harsh chemicals and reduces the waste associated with traditional pipe replacement.
- Cost-Effective: Picote rejuvenation is significantly less expensive than full pipe replacement while delivering similar benefits.
- Reduced Disruption: Unlike traditional plumbing repairs, there's no need to tear up walls, floors, or landscaping. The process is quick, clean, and minimally invasive.

Corey is an excellent HVAC technician. Advanced Air installed a new high-capacity Bryant Heat Pump system for me using the new R454B refrigerant with newly designed Bryant heat pump and air handler units. There were several technical issues related to R454B refrigerant and the newly designed system that Corey was able to analyze and successfully resolve. Corey was good to work with and is a very knowledgeable HVAC technician. The new heat pump system performs well for heating and works exceptionally for cooling.
